Windermere Property

The town of Windermere, Fla., is located in Orange County and only 14 miles from Orlando. Windermere is bordered by three of the state’s most gorgeous lakes, Lake Butler on the west, Lake Bessie on the south and Lake Down on the east. These lakes are well-known for their clear blue water. A favorite pastime for boaters and swimmers is to look straight through the lake and view the soft white sand below. These stunning lakes are a popular attraction as they have drawn many newcomers to the area to find peace and seclusion from the rest of the world.

Not only will you be pleased with Windermere’s majestic scenery, you will also be thrilled to learn that the town has been voted as the number one place to raise a family in the state of Florida. A group titled the NeighborhoodScout recently performed a search in Florida which looked at the town’s school quality, crime statistics, number of families with children, number of families who own a home, number of predominately single-family residencies and adult college degree statistics. The results were compiled and studied with a result showing Windermere to be at the top of the list.

Much of Windermere property has a waterfront view, due to the excessive number of lakes surrounding the town. Homes are priced as low as $350,000 for a custom home, while luxurious estates are selling for a much higher price.

Dirt roads still exist on many of the streets throughout town in order to help keep the rustic lifestyle many of Windermere’s residents enjoy.
